1- by a Car or Taxi:
If you are in the center of Cairo city you can take a taxi or drive your own car to Old Cairo. The distance is about 4-5 kilometers (2.5-3 miles), and the drive almost takes from 10 to 20 minutes depending on traffic.
2-by Metro
The nearest Cairo Metro station to Old Cairo is Mar Girgis Transfer lines as needed to reach Line 1, then travel to Mar Girgis Station then you will take a short walk to find yourself in the heart of the Coptic Cairo.
3-by bus
There are Several public buses and microbuses that can take you to the old Cairo district, you can take a bus from the Bus Terminals like Abbaseya or Ramses that have routes passing through or near the Old Cairo district.
4-Walking
If you are near the site of Old Cairo you can explore it on foot without any need to have a ride to transfer there and enjoy the walking while you are discovering the greatness of the Significant Sites.
